Guided Quad Naturalistic excursions in the territory of Baunei
The Supramonte and its harsh passages, traveled on a cart track with an ancient memory. A fascinating journey through the oak woods and limestones that takes us to Ginnirco where we will admire the breathtaking views of the Baunei coast. The tour ends in the Golgo plateau, where we will visit the 17th century San Pietro church, “Su Sterru“, which is the deepest single-leap chasm in Europe (270 m.), and the famous “As Piscinas” nuragic pools. Return to Baunei between 12.00 and 12.30.

Su sterru di Golgo
Su Sterru is a Natural Monument of Sardinia, located on the Golgo plateau, it is an abyss with karstic origins; its entrance is located in a valley depression partially filled with basaltic lava. It is one of the deepest chasms in Sardinia and one of the deepest, with a single span, in Europe.
The chasm develops for a height of 270 meters, with an almost elliptical horizontal section, which reaches 25 meters in diameter in the central section and 40 meters in the room that opens at the base.
Su Sterru hosts an interesting troglobia fauna, which includes the Sardinian geotriton or Hydromantes genei, an amphibian adapted to the cave environment, the Porrohomma spider and the terrestrial crustaceans of the genus Trichoniscus.
